In her work, Daria explores the relationship of a person with such fundamental phenomena as time and space, the understanding of temporality, the finiteness of material objects, the problem of inner emptiness, alienation, as well as an ironic social commentary relating to the present day.

Realistic elements in paintings are complemented by flat graphic shapes or abstract color spots. This mixture creates a dualism in perception and allows to expand the field of possible meanings.

 

The main material for sculptures is papier-mâché from collected waste paper. The fragility of paper media, with the large expenditure of labor on their creation, seems to require prolonging their life. The same applies to ready-made objects included in sculptures: mannequins, artificial flowers, plastic toys and other things that are usually treated like garbage, get a chance for another life.
